8-Strand Eye Splicing
8-Strand Eye Splicing
We provide eye splicing services.
Splicing steps of Super Tokuline Rope (28mm):
1. Mark the splicing length (7 crowns) with a tape.
2. Mark the end of the eye.
S Strand and Z Strand:
In S Strand, yarns run counterclockwise and form an S-like pattern.
In Z Strand, yarns run clockwise and form a Z-like pattern.
3. Unbraid the rope up to the beginning of the eye to divide the strands into two pairs of S Strands and two pairs of Z Strands. Wind a tape around the end of each pair.
4. Insert a spike into the gap beneath the running two S Strands of the rope at the end of the eye to make an opening. Insert Strand 1, one Z-Strand pair, into the opening to form an eye. Make sure that the formed eye is not twisted.
Note: Insert a Z-Strand pair into an opening beneath the two running S Strands of the rope, and insert a S-Strand pair into an opening beneath the two running Z Strands of the rope.
In this way, the inserted Z-Strand pair runs along the adjacent two Z Strands, and the inserted S-Strand pair runs along the adjacent two S Strands
5. Move and position Strand 4, one S-Strand pair, on the eye side as in the picture. Confirm that Strand 4 comes out beneath Strand 2, the other S-Strand pair.
6. With a spike, make an opening beneath the adjacent two running Z Strands. Insert Strand 2, the other S-Strand pair, into the opening.
7. With a spike, make an opening beneath the adjacent two running S Strands. Insert Strand 3, the other Z-Strand pair, into the opening.
8. With a spike, make an opening beneath the adjacent two running Z Strands. Insert Strand 4, the first S-Strand pair, into the opening to finish first cycle of splicing.
9. Turn over the entire rope as in the picture.
Repeat the steps 4 through 8.
Turn over the entire rope and repeat the steps 4 through 8 again.
10. Insert Strand 1 and Strand 2 to complete splicing.
